Keeping your WordPress Media files clean & organized

3 plugins to keep your WordPress Media files clean & organized

If you're putting off a cleanup job of your site, especially of your media files or you have a lot of pages that need to be cleaned up, you can use one of these plugins to sort:

  • Folders – allows you to sort Pages, Posts and Media files into folders and color code them as well. If you're running many sales pages, funnels, hosting summits or campaigns, this would be a great way to organize and get to your Pages and images quickly.
  • Filebird – this plugin helps you to sort only your Media files into folders. If Folders is a bit overkill for you for Posts and Pages, Filebird is a good option for Media files.
  • Media Cleaner – a plugin that allows you to scan your Media folder to see if there are any unused images which you can then delete. A fantastic thing to do to lighten the load of your site and server and keep things clean and current.

It might be time consuming depending on the size of your site, but getting rid of the dead weight will

  1. feel really really good and
  2. you'll thank yourself later (and so will your bank account!)

Then make this part of your maintenance routine and workflow. 💪
