Well, you're in luck! Because I built the WP WonderLab for you. We start from the basics of WordPress (I highly recommend starting with the WordPress DIY StartUp Kit) and you get to build piece by piece with plugin tutorial videos, a play space for you to practice what you learn before you add it to your site and a Facebook support group to ask your questions.
No matter how little or how advanced you are, the Learning Space is the place to play and continue learning step by step.

The more customization you do, the more important it is to find the plugins that work well with your current tech stack and still have the functionality you need. Hi and hello! They call me Moogle for a reason. The WonderLab is the place to figure it out together.

I will say - WordPress is a pretty misunderstood creature. Yes, it's bad rep is there for a reason, but honestly, it's because we didn't understand it from the beginning. As technical as it seems to be, if you understand the foundations, it's a lot easier to handle issues, plan ahead and even strategize to use it to its fullest extent and make your website work harder for you.
The WonderLab is here to help you start from the basics and build on it. And trust me, going back to remind yourself of the foundations of WordPress just makes everything easier. And all the available tutorials are there for you when you need to come back to it again and again.
Great question! The videos are currently organized in design or tech spaces. There are also thumbnails as to which page/theme builder the video applies to. If you still can't find what you're looking for you can:
- use the search bar at the top of your student area, accessible from any page,
- ask/request a video when you can't find the one you want or need,
- post in the students-only Facebook group that comes with your membership and get answers from yours truly, as well as your fellow Geek Squad-ers.
- as a Super Geek Squad-er, come and join office hours! We talk WordPress but we also talk business and strategy of your website because they go hand-in-hand. I'll help you come up with a plan.
- dive into the DIY StartUp Kit course even if you're not a newbie. The videos will give you a refresh but also warm up your brains to start thinking about your website and give you ideas on what you want to tackle first.

I get it — WordPress and your website are big undertakings with big decisions. But I will say, if you're on a new journey, start anywhere! Getting off the ground is 50% of the battle. And while we want to make sure we start off on the right platform, the reality is that you might change platforms in the next year or two while you start to gather the right tools to run your business.
WordPress is a learning curve but it is where, as you grow, many people end up because of it's flexibility and versatility to expand — you can DIY it now then hire a developer for more customization as you grow.

Absolutely. One of the things I usually end up saying to myself when working with clients was, 'I wish they had known ____ sooner!" then their site would be set up properly and have a solid understanding of what there website can do and how to properly maintain it.
Then they can properly plan for their future and strategize accordingly.
